The DNC can not be defeated from within because it is a privately owned corporation that has assumed control over the affairs of the Democratic Party due to the lack of legislation governing political parties which do not exist at the constitutional level.

HOWEVER: An alternative entity can be created within the Democratic Party can be created to take charge of it’s affairs. It would compete with the DNC for the donations and recognition of the Democratic Party’s membership base.

This is preferable to creating a new third party or joining an existing one due to the fact that the Commission on Presidential Debates was created expressly to prevent third party candidates from obtaining the coverage they need to win. (Trump had investigated running as the candidate for the Reform Party in 1999 but dropped out in Feb. of 2000. Bernie was unable to harness the Democratic Party but Trump did do that with the Republicans).

And the co-opted mainstream mass media will not cover third party candidates as things now stand.

The creation of an alternate directive body for the Democratic Party would be accompanied by legislative initiatives for electoral reform. I am familiar with how this has been achieved in other countries and would be glad to help if interest is present.
